Is it possible that any kind soul could have a look at the parish register for a marriage??

It would have been between 1851 and 1854.  The bride was a Charlotte Duquemin aged 21 - 24 and was living as step daughter of an Elizabeth Blait at 2 Park Street, St Peter Port and her occupation was Dressmaker.  She married Lambert Rendell (Rendall) of Hawkchurch Dorset.  I know they had their first childin 1854 on Guernsey.  I have exhausted all other avenues in the search for their marriage and who her natural parents were.  Any help with this brick wall would be much appreciated.

Hi Tioman, you may already have been down this road of thought-but here goes! The IGI shows:
Eliza Duquemin was born in 1830
Charlotte Deuquemin was born in 1829

to parents Pierre Eleazor Duquemin and Elizabeth Robert in Saint Peter Port

Elizabeth Blait widow born 1803 and her widowed daughter Eliza born 1831 are in St Peter Port on 1881 census. could this link to the above Eliza with a mother called Elizabeth?

?? Could Elizabeth Blait be the remarried widow of Pierre Duquemin ?? the description of Charlotte being described as 'stepdaughter' relating to her relationship with Elizabeth Blaits' husband

Thanks Margaret good detective work.  I have had great difficulty tracing my Guernsey connection and I think this will help enormously.  I did'nt know if Charlotte had any siblings and was'nt totally sure of her parents! Yey I have an enormous amount of info from after Charlottes first child was born.  I now need to find out more about her Mum, dad and Sister.
