Unfortunately the various graves you wanted visited were in a lot of different sections of the cemetery.  Rookwood is huge - about the size of your average suburb and each denomination has its own office, so it takes a while to get around.

My next stop was the War Cemetery which is close to the cremtorium.

At the War Cemetery I first visited the walls of remembrance and found two entries there:

Storer, Clarence T
VX 147523
DOB 18-02-89
Wall 021 RH
Ver ID 219192

Storer, James R
Service no. A221406
DBO 10-01-96
Wall 065 F  (I think this is wrong - I couldn't locate this plaque)
Vet ID NSS09136

I took a photo of Clarence's plaque is you want it.

I stopped by the Catholic Office next.

TORNEY

Francis Torney
D. 26 Mar 1969
B. 28 Mar 1969
Aged 53 years

he is buried with:

Joseph Torney
B. 9 Oct 1947
Aged 65 years

I walked throughout section 14 and could not locate a grave at 662.  There is no sign there ever was a grave there.

Looking at my notes from the office the lady highlighed Section 16, so there may have been an error on the Rookwood disks.  Next time I'm at the Catholic section I'll see if I can find this grave.  Someone did a transcription once, so it must be there!

b. 10 Dec 1986

I didn't have time to find Lawn 4 so will leave that for another visit.

Hi Leonie,

I'd love the picture of the plaque for Clarence Storer - he definately is one of ours. Don't have a James R Storer in the tree.

I am still working through the pictures you sent - many many thanks.

If you ever need a look up for Victoria I have all the relevant CD's. And if you should have anyone in the Geelong cemeteries I would be more than happy to do look up/pics for you.

thanks again

Hi Leonie,

re Francis Torney - I have just re checked my records and the info from this fellow was from the cemetery register fiche, didn't know he was buried with Joseph who was his father.

They don't appear on the Rookwood CD so there is not likely to be a headstone.

Sorry about that.

thanks again
