Hi Mrs Noah,
There might well be something recorded in the local paper. As I'm currently trawling the film of the Northwich Guardian for 1918 for WWI casualties for my own families I'll make a note of William Edwards and see if he is mentioned, sometimes it will mention other family members.
It may be a few weeks before I get back to you as it's very slow going  ::)

Thank you Kevwood, I have looked in my old note books and found the family in the 1891 census plus other bits and bobs,

also it seems that someone is looking for the younger siblings  on Genes Reunited so will see what that throws up

Just a :on update on my ramblings over the last few weeks, I have made contact with Australia about this family. Wonder if it will prove fruitful? They have never heard of my man but are the right family!!!!

Watch this space.

Hi Mrs N.

If you want i can look for his death cert. It may tell you what he died of! but generally it is a waste of 7 quid, as it pretty much just tells you the same as the cwgc site, but the one i have for my great uncle actually says he died of TB.

Hi there Mrs Noah,

re: Northwich Guardian

I looked for a report of the death of William Edwards from NOV 1918 - FEB 1919 - not a sign I'm afraid.
Hope you have more success elsewhere.

Many thanks for looking for me.
This man is a mystery and I just need to find out more about him.
He was special enough to his parents to have a memorial made to him, so the folk in Northwich knew about him, it is just sad that no mention is made about him in the local papers.

I appreciate you getting back to me. Thanks again
