I am trying to trace my great grandmother Ellen Price, of Beckwith Street Birkenhead. Year born: 1840. Can anyone help please with the 1891 Census.

Hazelnut, in reply to one of your previous questions re: Tranmere Infirmary.
The Tranmere Workhouse is St Catherines Hospital, Derby Road, Tranmere. It is still a working hospital, and many of the buildings were originally erected as the workhouse and are still in use.
Records for 1869 to 1980 of accounts, registers, staff and other records are held by the Wirral Archives.

Thanks for your mail. However, the address I am trying to check where my ancestors lived during the time of the 1891 census was Beckwith St Birkenhead, not Brougham Street. Do you know which web site I can access to view the 1891 census please.

if that is the correct family it is certainly 99 Brougham St. I have just re-checked it. You can check yourself on Ancestry, but you will have to purchase a subscription.
