Also in 1881 there is a M. (Capt) Raynes aged 66, with a daughter E. S. (Miss) Raynes aged 39 b. Canada and two younger children b. England - a possible relative?  Could have been a Rayn/Rayne British military family in Canada at the same time as George.

Where in England was George in 1861? Any indication of which regiment he belonged to?
