Help reading name please
« on: Friday 02 December 05 19:08 GMT (UK) »
Please see Tracey's posting and if anybody could help read this name we'd be grateful.

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,110529.0.html

Mary Ann Clarkson formerly ?? what ??

Also another little piece of the certificate for handwriting comparison.

The birth was of Lucy Clarkson, Huddersfield in 1880, but it's not known whether this name is Mary Ann's maiden  name or maybe a former married name or even where she got married.

Thanks for any help.

Looks like Dana.

Look at the way he wrires Union and the way he joins the U and the N - it looks as though there is an 'r' in there, but isn't :)

I think Dance too - because of the curl at top of c and he doesn't always form his e's with a visible loop.
