Help reading handwriting COMPLETED
« on: Friday 02 December 05 21:29 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Is anybody able to make out the name of the Parish church on this marriage certificate.  It is in the parish of Manchester and both the bride and groom are shown as being resident at an address in Openshaw..and thats another question...

Hope this works as I've never posted an attachment before.  hope it doesn't make everything big!  :)

Hmm - Thats one of the things I had made out - but it doesn't seem to make any sense does it?  In fact nothing I can make out sounds like the name of a church (or none that I know!)

Why does it not make sense?  Manchester Cathedral is also a parish church.  It did not become a cathedral until 1847, but the present church was built in 1215, serving the parish of Manchester.

Ohhh!  I was being a bit stupid there.  I hadn't realised it meant Manchester Cathedral.  Sorry I'm new to this family history lark
