The census 5th April 1891 Ada is listed as an clerk for the Admirality, and died 12 May 1948 residing at 20 Chelwood Drive, Odd Down, Bath.
From family information, Josiah William Palmer at some point was orphaned to an Uncle in Canada, apparently having a lot to do with horse's on the prairie's, when the second world war broke out he joined the Navy.
I am informed that because Josiah was born in England, he was given the option to join the Canadian or English Navy and chose to Join then English Navy. (Royal Marine no. 14701)
Together they had three issue's, Frank born Bath in 1919, Pauline born ,Pontiac, Detroit, Michigan, USA in about 1930. and James, who died at 18 months old.
I would be very interested, to know who the Uncle was, that Josiah was orphaned to in Canada, also any information can anyone help please
