TURPIN
« on: Tuesday 06 December 05 21:02 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me with any dates or details of William Turpin b.c.1834  in Essex,
and his wife Caroline b.c. 1835 in Steeple, Essex.  He was a Farm Servant/Agricultural Labourer.  They had 6 children that I know of.   I'm beginning to get desperate for info of their parents, etc !!
Thanks in advance for your help.

1891
William, Caroline not found
Deaths not found, 1881 - 1891

1881
William is 47, b. Little Saling
Caroline is 46, b. Steeple

1871
William is 40, b. Little Sailen
Caroline is 30, b. Steeple

1861
William is 28, b. Little Suling
Caroline is 26, b. Steeple

Oldest child is age 6, so b. 1855
Marriage probably c 1854

VERY probable William Turpin m. Caroline Rush

1855 Q4, Maldon  vol 4a  page illegible   [from 1837online]

Here Caroline in 1851:

Southminster, Essex   HO107 1778 145 p16

Edward Spells (Spills?), head, mar, 32, Farmer, 40ac, b. Southminster
Ann Maria Spells, wife, mar, 29, b. Southminster
Walter Edward Spells, son, 5, b. Southminster
Caroline Rush, serv, 16, b. Steeple, Essex

Possibly her parents ?

1851 Steeple, Essex

South Side of Street
John Rush, head, mar, 36, Ag Lab, b. Steeple
Caroline Rush, wife, mar, 34, b. Steeple
John Rush, son, 11, Ag Lab, b. Bradwell
Mary Ann Rush, dau, 10, b. Steeple
Elizabeth Rush, dau, 7, b. Steeple
Anthony Rush, son, 4, b. Steeple
James Rush, son, 1, b. Steeple

Possible William is Blacksmith's Labourer in Great Saling, 1851.
But there are several William of similar age.
And 1851 Bardfield (Little) Saling census is missing.

Hello there,
Thank you so much for allowing me to see your family tree,  it's wonderful,
all the names and dates I've been searching for - and more !!
I shall now spend a few days going through them all and adding them to my tree.
Once again, many thanks

Best wishes
