1891 Jersey Census lookup Please

Hi All,

Please can i have a lookup on the 1891 Census for William b.1849 Jersey, & Ellen MacFarlane b.1851 England and Family.

Actually i was wondering if on the census it gives the place of birth for Ellen, all i know it was in England.

Any reply will be very much appreciated!

Can you tell us how you know they are in Jersey? Do you have marriage info? children's birth info? or other census details? 

From the above you might gather that there no no M[a]cfarlane's showing up at all, wondering whether they might be in England.

I have the 1891 Census as follows,  and the birth certs of William father and son and also Mabel, Emma, May.


1 Providence Square, St Helier, Jersey.

William Mac/McFarlane (Head) -42- born St.Helier,  occ: Carter
Ellen  MacFarlane (Wife) -40- born England,   Housekeeper
Mabel MacFarlane (Daughter) -12- born St.Helier,  Scholar
Emma MacFarlane (Daughter) -10- born St.Helier,  Scholar
William MacFarlane (Son) -5- born St.Helier,  Scholar
May MacFarlane (Daughter) -3- born St.Helier,  Scholar

phew, when you finally see the image it's quite clearly McFarlane but searching for it is another matter!

Unfortunately no place apart from England is given.  Nor on the 1881 and has Ellen died by 1901? I think I have William with a new wife Elizabeth.  Also a mother in law, Maria, who was born in England so maybe it was Ellen's mother, Elizabeth was born Jersey.
