i was wondering how i would go about looking up records for my grandfather who was in ww2  he didnt fight and i would like to know what he did....

If he was in the Australian Army you should find a certificate for him here
http://www.ww2roll.gov.au  and service records are here
http://www.naa.gov.au/  -  you can pay for a copy of the service records or request a digital copy be placed on line(no charge) - takes a few weeks.

Sry about that - my folks were all in oz army - Do a search on this site(search button at top of page)  for WWII and you will find lots of queries/replies. This was one reference that was mentioned
