pinnaroo cemetery lookup please

Hi everyone can some kind sole help me, i've just found the cemetery where my dad's uncle is (after a long,long search) it's  Pinnaroo cemetery, cnr Graham rd and Bridgeman rd, Bridgeman Downs.
portion-2F   section--2  grave number--90 his name is william keane burial date 17/02/1966 aged 67yrs
Just wondering if anyone on here lived there or near it, would love to know what is on the headstone, if they had kids or not it would be a great help.

Hi Linda

I visit most Brisbane cemeteries and will  get there eventually, but probably not before Christmas. Pinaroo is a lawn cemetery and has small bronze memorial placques. I've attached a small photo from the cemetery - it was very hot and dry when we were last there.

How are you, was hoping when you get a chance if you could have a look at a couple more for me at Pinnaroo, you did some look ups at Toowong for me a little while ago, found two more at the pinnaroo cemetery.

Delhia Catherine 62 years and John Thomas Fairbanks 80 years buried portion 7, grave 282.

Edward Martin Fairbanks age 72 buried 9 Sep 1976, portion 7, grave number 1018.

Hope you don't mind and certainly no rush, thanks also for posting the picture of Pinnaroo cemetery.

Hi all

I've been away & haven't visited any Brisbane cemeteries for some weeks (I did however visit many in NSW and Vic during our holiday      My long suffering husband followed me from cemetery to cemetery).  I will try and get to Pinaroo in the next couple of weeks - meanwhile  Annette may get there before me, living fairly close.

Thanks for that Trish, and thankyou for the information regarding the marriage certificate on my grandparents, wasn't aware of that, will have to send away for the certificate and hope they find something that way.

It would be worth checking the fiche - in case I have the dates incorrect. I think certificates are cheaper if you have the index number. Qld marriage certificates are very good. I have a much earlier one that gives both sets of parents, occupation of fathers, where living prior to marriage plus the usual names, ages, witnesses.
