MULDOONS - TYRONE - COOKSTOWN

I am looking for guidance on where to start looking for my Muldoon connection.

James Muldoon (1850?) Cookstown, Tyrone, Ire. - believed he either worked for the O'Neills or something. Sarah Jane O'Neill (1851) was sent to US. James followed and they married over here. (So the story goes...)

I have a connection to the O'Neills. And some of them pointed out to my mother where James and Sarah met. On the Moss.

I am looking for the Muldoons over there. Or someone can tell me where to continue my search. What records should I be getting. Etc.
