I have not found samuel in the 1881 or esther

It looks like you have found frederick in 1861

frederick went on to marry in 1869 at ilford essex and listed his father as samuel,it never said deceased on certificate

I think im on to something here,Im almost sure that Esther married the lodger George T Jevons from the 1871 cencus

Transcribed as Jabour, Esther was still alive in 1901 and living in St Margarets Rd ,Barking. Age 74 she lived alone and is a widow.

No trace in 1891.

It really is hard to know what George,s surname is because on every cencus (1851-1891 and even the 1901 as Esther as something different) it is something different.So if you start postings for Jelons/Jabour/Jealons/Jeallows/Dealons remind me to avoid it like the plague LOL

Thanks for the extra info,that explains why i couldn't find her on the 1881.

She must have been a gutsy lady to have married someone over half her age,and she out lived him too
