1851 Census
« on: Thursday 15 December 05 10:39 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me.

I have the family I am looking for in the 41 and 61 census.  But in the 61 I can't figure out where the father is from and in the 41 it is just out of county.

It is the family of Robert Whyte.  Born in about 1784.  Living in a Farm called Bracklaymore? in the Parish  of Aberdour.

He is married to Mary, with sons of John and Robert and also 3 daughters.

Does any one have access to the 51 and could look this up for me, or know when the 51 may be available online?

Paul,

Could you possibly post the part of the 61 Census that you can't read? We might be able to help you figure it out.

I'm sorry, I can't help with the 51 Census but did find Blackamore at Genuki http://www.urie.demon.co.uk/genuki/ABD/_gazeteer/b.html

Also the modern view can be seen at www.multimap.com

Hi Paul B,
