Transcribing for FreeCen
« on: Friday 16 December 05 16:22 GMT (UK) »
Passing this on,

FREECENS is about to start transcribing the 1861 Census for Sussex for free
access for all on the internet.  We are seeking volunteers for this and on this
occasion the source material is on C.D.'s. If you can devote a few hours a week
to transcribing please contact me off list.

We are making slow progress with the 1891 Census (nearly 40 percent on line) and
still look for volunteers with access to a microfiche reader to assist with
this, if you have a reader, please again contact me off list.
Best Wishes,
John
