Ricky

I'm making a big assumption here but on 1881 census son Thomas was age 4, on 1901 this Thomas is 24 - so could be his son.

Also notice on 1881 Richard is 29 & son Lewis is 15 - he had him at age 14 - unless it was Harriet's from another relationship - she had him at age 18

Get back on your chair

How about ... what if ???

Richard J married Harriet Oakman in Mar 1869 vol 3b page 680

Louis Oakman (I have a Lewis in my tree & it's sometimes spelt Louis) on 1861 census is born 1867 & is grandson to Louis Oakman b 1796 Chesterton  & wife Sarah

but Harriet E Oakman b 1846 born Chesterton is daughter to James Oakman & Ann.

cheers John

Hi Ricky

Fossil digging was probably coprolite digging which is explained at
http://www.cambridgeshirehistory.com/People/coproliteindustry.html

Should keep her occupied  for another half hour!

David

Ricky

Do you have the IGI/LDS christening dates for James & Richard, plus the other 8 children born to Isaac Jeffrey & wife Sally.

Also I've found marriage index of Isaac Jeffrey to Sally Harris at Newmarket district vol 14 page 145 in Sept 1838

goodnight John

Hi John and Ricky,
Thanks John for putting me on to this site. (You wrote to me on Genes Reunited) Just wanted you to know tht Isaac Jeffrey was married to Sally Starvis on 29 Sept 1838 they were my Great Great Grand parents. Although on records it shows that Isaac married Sally Harris it was really Starvis, I have a copy of the marriage certificate and I can understand why it was mistaken for Harris.  I also have information on Lewis Oakman my 3x Great Grandfather and his family. Best wishes
Frances S
