 Hello
 Do you need census details.
In 1881 George, Emma,  Alfred and Henry are in Llanigon
Parish about two miles from Hay.
You can find this info online on the Lds  Family Search site
at ref RG11 5470 F 65 P11.
I think i have found the family in  Llanigon in 1851 and 1871. no trace in 1861 as yet.
If you need the census details Let me know.

Rhys:

THANK YOU!!!  I have the 1881 census from the LDS site, but the other ones would be wonderful.  I don't know how to thank you. :)

What I would like to know is why are there 2 possible last names for Emma?

Another thing, I THINK George was born in Herefordshire England.

Thank you again

Kelly

Hi Kelly.
I do not understand why you refer to two possible surnames for Emma. Perhaps you could explain.
I think the following is is the family in 51,71,91 and 1901.
In 51 the ages  are way out  but  the place of birth of
George stated as Craswall  is a hamlet in the parish of Clodock.  He is also enumerated as born Craswall in 1901.
I suspect that in 1861 the family were also in Llanigon.
Unfortunately the 1861 census enumeraton for Llanigon is officially  missing.

Rhys

1851 Llanigon

GOLDEG
George Jenkins h m 38 Cow Bailiff  HER Clodock
Emma Jenkins w m 39   BRE Hay
Thomas Jenkins s u 11  BRE Hay
Alfred H Jenkins s u 4    BRE Llanigon

1891 Llanigon

FFORDLAES
George Jenkins h m 63 gen.lab  HER Clodock
Emma Jenkins  w m 59 BRE Llanigon

George is described as a gardener.  non  domestic.

WOW you are amazing!!!  Thank you!

Yes, you have the right ones.  He was born in Craswal.  There was a son George as well.  My 1st George is said to have been born around 1831.

The reason I ask about the last names of Emma is that is what is listed on the LDS site, Emma Griffiths or Fowke.

Hello
the LDS entry  has been sumitted by  an individual who was probably not sure of Emma`s maiden name. It is not a parish record.
If Emma was a Fowke  then there is a possible marriage
on Free BMD March 1850 Quarter. Herefordshire
Search for Emma Fokes. It would appear that the transcriber was not sure of the spelling.
