HANDS - N.E. Worcs & Birmingham

Hi folks,

I'm interested in the many HANDS families from North East Worcestershire and, inevitably, Birmingham.  The various lines pop up in Redditch, Tardebigge, Kings Norton, Bromsgrove, possibly Yardley, as well as South Africa.  Along with the odd birth in Wellington, Shropshire and around Bury and Over Darwin in Lancashire.

Time frame is from when records began.        With migration, tracking them is extremely difficult, so I'm prepared to help other unrelated researchers, just to gain more information.

My surname is Hands, I have traced my family line back five generations to a Samuel Hands, who was born around 1800 and was a baker. Samuel and all his descendants lived in Birmingham itself. l'm not sure exactly what your after, but if you need more details and use GenesReunited, all my Hands are listed there on my family tree.

I will then see if your tree touches any of my contacts.  My own tree goes back definitively to around 1730.  Further work, but not mine, might knock 300 years off that.
