« on: Wednesday 28 December 05 00:52 GMT (UK) »
Trying to find Mary Elizabeth Attwood b abt 1837 St John, Brunswick Canada.
Her parents were Richard Attwood and Margaret Ferguson. Mary married in London on the 11 May 1862 to George Hunt Attwood. Trying to find out if she had any Siblings and if the two Attwood families are related.

That would probably be "New Brunswick" rather than "Brunswick".  Other than that, I can't help you;  good luck!  New Brunswick is one of the founding provinces of Canada, and St. John is one of its major cities.

Carol,

It looks like Mary was a live-in servant/nurse in Lambeth, Surrey (England) in 1861 (if that's the right person) but I couldn't find her in 1851.  Perhaps someone on Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness could do a look-up for you in the 1851 census of Saint John if the census still exists (you'd have to refer to the Saint John County GenWeb site).  (There was a huge fire that destroyed a lot of Saint John way back when.)

Ruby Cusack's website has a lot of information about St. John genealogy:
http://www.rubycusack.com/

I was going to recommend Daniel F. Johnson's services but it looks like he passed away this year (this is sad news for me).  Perhaps someone would be willing to do a look-up for you at the Saint John library, though:

Good luck.
