we've got that one but from then until the marriage in 1882 and the census in 1891, it all goes dead!

How about looking for the aunt and uncle on the 1871 and 1881, you never know it could be miss spelt, as so often they have been, also try just putting in their Christian names, plus or minus a year of birth and where they were born, once again you might find them under a different spelling, worth a try, have done it that way myself.

looks as if aunt and uncle are under the name of Richards and living in Finsbury 1871, same area as the Faulkners were on another census, no Mark

Thanks for the tip, I see them now under Richards, it's turning into a bit of a jigsaw puzzle.

I am going to have to bow out of this puzzle, I have had a look at various ways of finding either of these people, no joy so far, wondered if you found Sarah Isaacson's birth and could trace through the census for her mother. I do enjoy a challenge but this beats me.
