Help find Bernard Feeney
« on: Saturday 31 December 05 18:25 GMT (UK) »
:(
i have been trying in vain to find Bernard Feeney, he was married to Catherine Cunniff in 1859, on his daughter Elizabeth's birth cert he is listed as deceased, Ive just about exhausted scotlandspeople's records and still no luck, I suppose he could have deserted the family or have gone back to Ireland where he was born.  Thought I'd try my luck here and perhaps one of you posters may have a different take on it.

Happy New Year!!

Should have mentioned Elizabeth was born in 1866, and was signed by her grandmother Catherine Cunniff

Hi Karen,

1861 census index
Census taken Bothwell, Holytown 625/2 enum dist 2 page 22

Bernard Feeny  age 24 born Ireland, Roscommon
Catherine age 23 born Ireland, Roscommon
Mary age 1 born Glasgow

Mary's birth is in IGI Mother listed as Catherine CURRIFF

Doing a free search on scotlandspeople, there is a death for a Bernard FEENIE in 1865, Edinburgh, there is no age given in the free search.

Happy New Year
Liz

Liz:
Just noticed the McCallum in your signature line, I too have some McCallums, there was BRidget, married James McMenemy in  Wishaw, her mother was Ann ms McCulloch and father was Patrick. I believe they may have originated from county Tyronne in Ireland.

Thanks again for your reply to
Ol' Bernard.
