I would appreciate any help re family of Andrew Redpath and Ann Armstrong who in 1851 were residing in the village of Gifford East Lothian.Andrew and Ann were deceased prior to 1851 leaving Mary Redpath b1832 dressmaker as head of household ,Other family members were James b 1833,Frances 1834,Andrew 1836,Archibald 1839,Jane1843,,Robert 1840.
Does anyone have any information or links to this family.
The eldest daughter of the family Dorothyb1823  was my greatgrandmother x2.She married James Nichol and they emigrated to Australia in 1854.
I've hit 2 brick walls in that I do not know who James Nichols parents were only that he was born abt 1822.  His children born Yester East Lothian Marjory and Maryann.His first born son born South Australia named Thomas.
Any assistance appreciated.
Other family names are Wilson, Armstrong,McDonald,Morgan..

Andrew, aged 40 Agricultural Labourer born England
Ann, aged 40 born England
James, aged 10 born Outside Census County (1841)
Mary, aged 9 born East Lothian
Francis, aged 7 born East Lothian
Andrew, aged 5 born East Lothian
Archibald, aged 3 born East Lothian
Robert, aged 7m East Lothian

James Nichol,  Head, Married, aged  29,  Gamekeeper born in  England -  Downam, Northumberland   
Dorothy Nichol,  Wife, aged 28, born in  England -  Scremerston, Northumberland       
Mary A   Dau,  aged 3m, born in Yester       
Mary Nichol  Mother,  Widow aged  82, born in England - Lanton, Northumberland

Dorothy appears on the 1841 as Dorethy Redpath at Yester House working as a Servant to the aristocracy
