George Henry Alcock in Hull area
« on: Tuesday 03 January 06 18:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone can help me find information on a George Henry Alcock. I have his date of birth as 18th January 1909 (but can find no record of this). I believe  that he married on 14th September 1947 in St. Peter and St. Paul church Hull. I have checked with the register office and again can find no record of this. He was in London during the 1950's.

Does anyone out there have an information about an Alcock family with a connection to Hull??

Many thanks

Jane

Hi Jane

This may or may not be your George but Yorkshirebmd has a birth entry for a George H Alcock born in the Myton district of Hull in 1910.

Hi Bee,
Thanks so much for that. I have been told that sometimes a birth may have been registered late - so I'm hoping now that this might be the one!! It would be really wonderful to find something about George that proved that he really did exist!!! Up until now I have had my doubts because everytime I look for something I draw a complete blank!
