Surnames: Clune & Kenny
« on: Wednesday 04 January 06 18:55 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find out info on Michael Clune born abt. 1849. married to Margaret Kenny born abt. 1848.  Possibly from Miltown.  They  definitely had a son named Michael and one named Frank(born 6/15/1872 at Miltown). US census records say they had eight children with only five living in the year 1910. My gggrandmother was there daughter Elizabeth. Elizabeth married Herman Tamke in Jersey City NJ, USA.  I can not find any passenger lists or manifasts for any of them. The census says Elizabeth immigrated abt. 1895(according to the 1930 census) the 1910 census says she immigrated in 1892.
I've gotten back to her mother & father and am now stuck.

I checked the 1901 for Miltown Malbay and the link below it to the only page of the town that had Clune's on it.

http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/1901census/miltown_malbay_ded_miltown_malbay_town_chapel_road55_12.htm

But I did find a Michael and Margaret on it for the Quin part of Clare:

Hope this help
