Hi all, and particularly many thanks to you Ros for such a fantastic book.
By the way, if anyone's interested, you can get it on www.realgroovy.co.nz for $29.95, with FREE NZ DELIVERY.

I found out about Rootschat in it, so thought I would give it try.  What a great website!!
cheers, Hilary

Hi
Does this book cover tracing German ancestors who immigrated to NZ?

I took the advice from all these people and got a relative to send me a copy to Aussie - I am finding it a great read and even though I have been into genealogy for a few years I am picking up lots of hints along the way.    It's easy to read and interesting at the same time.   Well done Ros!!

Hi Kakapo,

Sorry, there's nothing much to help you specifically with tracing German immigrants to NZ. Perhaps you could ask the people here on RootsChat?

Thanks for the kind words Gaygirl. I'm afraid the whole thing is very out of date already - revised edition coming up soon!

Merry Christmas all,

Ros

I agree with all the posts  ;DI found it in my local library and have ordered it through Angus and Robertson here in Australia if they can find the link im going back tommorrow to see if they can get it for me....... I have extended it twice now its so down to earth easy to read for a beginner and also it is written from 'our side' of the world which is refreshing

Hi, it seems I have come across this thread too late, I ordered the book through a site I normally use and back came the reply today "has recently gone out of print"

Does anyone know when the revised  edition is coming out.  It sounds as it is a gem of a book to have.

Cheers
KHP :)
