Where are the Webster family from 1861 onwards please? - completed
« on: Thursday 05 January 06 09:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Please can anyone look up my Webster family in the 1861 census (and the 1841/1871/1881 etc., if possible?)

I have the following information which I hope will help...

John Webster
born Thornton in Yorks in about 1821

unm. in 1841

In 1851 he was with his wife Sarah.  He was 30, she was 27 and born in Pickering.  They were in Scarborough.

many thanks

Also if possible a George and Hannah Webster - all I can tell you is that George was born in Scotland.

Many thanks for any help

I have spent some time on this one and failed!   Do you know anything more?   When did they die?   They have two children in 1851.  Jane age 2 and George P age 10 months.  Both born Scarborough.  I cannot find them in later census records either.
How do they connect with George and Hannah?   What age are they likely to be?
You can search the 1881 yourself.  It is free on www.familysearch.org and www.ancestry.co.uk
If you can add anything it will help us...  I don't like to be defeated!

I have also looked and failed.

Perhaps they left the country.

That can't be John's death as census was taken on 30th March ::)
Ignore everything I have said.

This is confusing!

1871 census

George Webster Head abt 1851 b Scarborough coach smith
Sarah Webster wife abt 1848 b Pickering
Thomas Barr son abt 1870 b Pickering
Alice Webster daughter abt 1871 b Scarborough

Can't see John and Sarah....
