Now Arranroots, ready for the Worwoods??  ;)

As for Alfred's elder brother William, I can't find him in 1901 unfortunately. And I can't seem to tie in the one Ellen Hudson (age 58) into this family. Her husband is an Alfred (sorry! ;D ) born Birmingham. If he had been born Wolverhampton, I'd have guessed he was an uncle but I can't find any link so far.

Have just found the Weekees/Wickes in 1851 too:
HO107/2053 563 25
Birmingham St Martin, Warwickshire
18 Covetry Street

William Wickes, head, 32, Wire drawer, birthplace Not Known
Roseta, wife, 28, b. Spitfields  ;D London
William, son, 6, schollar, b. same
Fredreck, son, 2, b. same
Henery, son, 4, schollar, b. Birmingham

hi there , that possible no 1 and  no 2 are hard, both got the same childrens family names, i would guess the no 2 only as my mum said the family worked in the brass works that she could see from her house. in birmingham,, just a guess,

i have been studing them all and i cant see that we ( you i should say) have gone wrong with any family.

will i need to get cert to prove which herbert hudson it is?????

thanks ann w

I thought n°1 looked good because they were in Aston Warwickshire but indeed, only Herbert's marriage cert would give you Herbert's father's name.

I do hope Santa was generous - that's quite a few certs to order by now!
