Wow, what a response thank you very much. Gwerninion, Arranroots and sjsbc

Answers to questions in 1901 James was Labourer M Bonded Vaults, which means he worked for Customs & Excise in the tobacco, liquor and tea warehouses on the docks.
In 1883 on his marriage cert he was a 28,  Warehouse man, residence 49 Andrew Street, Walton. His father Thomas was a labourer. Witnesses Daniel Wiseman Butler and Alice Westhead, Lucy (wifes) sister.
I didn't know who Thomas Eskrigge  was until now, Mary Agnes Westhead wasLucys sister so I would appreciate further details on that marriage Thank you Arranroots
sjsbc  I didn't know about James Westhead at the same address that would be Lucy's brother.
But still his parents alude us. Do I go for the birth cert and assume what I found on the 1861 census is them??

thank you

I know this is an exercise in futility, but Daniel BUTLER is a jockey in Lambourne, Berkshire in 1881.

Thank you all again.

I'm not sure that it is him on the 1871 census with Bridget Murray as his mum.

Does everyone agree that the James I found on 1861 is probably the right one? Do I go for the birth cert?

You can see what trouble this family have given me. I could easily have bought loads of birth certs.

Your help is appreciated

Thank you

LibbyW  :)
