Habbies Howe
« on: Monday 09 January 06 21:12 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Does anyone know if the pub Habbies Howe still exists?  Think it may have been in the Carlops area.
Have done a search in Google but not had much luck.
Thanks, Sharon

As far as I can recall, The Habbies Howe was converted into housing a few years back. Pity, it was good for a pub lunch. It was at Ninemileburn, a mile or two on the Edinburgh side of Carlops. The Habbies Howe shown on the map is not where the inn was, that is the hollow that it was named after, about a mile away.
