Hello:

I am currently researching the Kemp family out of Exeter, Devonshire.

John Carey Kemp married Elizabeth Chambers on 16 Sept 1867 at South Street Chapel, Exeter.  John's father was William a timber merchant and Elizabeth's father was James a poulterer.  Arthur their son was born in Exeter in 1869.  John's father was William Kemp born around 1811 in Exeter.  John's mother (William's wife) was Elizabeth Savory Coster (mispelled as Carter on some census records)  born about 1809 in Stonehouse, Devonshire.  Any connection to your research?

I don't think so, my Kemps moved to Exeter from Winkleigh and were still in Winkleigh in 1811 when your William was born in Exeter. Good luck anyway
