All Saints Church, Maidstone.
« on: Wednesday 11 January 06 19:54 GMT (UK) »
This is a bit of a longshot but i thought i would give it a go.

My husbands uncle was in the Royal West Kent Regiment and died in Palestine in 1938.  We know that his name is commemorated on a lectern and that it is possible that the lectern is in All Saints Church, Maidstone.  Does anyone here visit All Saints at Maidstne and if possible could they please look and see if the lectern is in public view.  We would like to be able to get a photograph of the lectern in order to show it to members of the family.

The gentleman in question is S. T. Chapman and there will be other names on the lectern.

Thanking you.

Trish,

If you do not get a positive responce, try phoning the vicar (If you are in the UK, if not let me know and I'll phone him for you) ,should be able to get the number by googling, in my experience most will either know or are happy to look.
