William & Maria Christmas in Bredgar Parish &/or 1841 census
« on: Wednesday 15 September 04 20:45 BST (UK) »
I am giddy with excitment upon registering here for the possiblility of information on my line.  Thank you all for your willingness to do this.

Looking for census or Parish infomation for:

Maria Christmas:
Born 9 Jan 1801, Bredgar, Kent
Married 9 Apr 1821 to John White
     Immigrated 1856 to US
Curiously enough Maria got on a ship to America about a month before her husband died.  She was in the Martin handcart company within just months of arriving.  Sadly, we are all dying for information of her story, but may never know it.

Her Father, William Christmas:
Born 1776, Ancestral file lists Essex, Kent
Married 4 Mar 1799, Bredgar, to Elizabeth Cook
     Died 1846

Maria's Brother, William Christmas:
     Born 1803, Bredgar
     Died 1874

I am hoping eventually to find the older William Christmas' parents.  I would be appreciative of any information to help me with this.

Ginger

Adrian -

Thank You.  That seems like a lot to ask of you for such a small shot in the dark.  I've looked at the surname distribution for Kent at about this time and there are quite a few Christmases.  I think I need a little more solid data to narrow down decendants, I'm not sure that any of my decendants remained in England.  World Connect has given me a good start on this line for now.

Thanks so much for your willingness to help,

Ginger
