approved school for boys Treharris COMPLETE

My Googling has come to a blank, anyone know of the exisience in Treharris of an approved school for boys (11-15) circa 1945.

I found a list.  There seems to have been one in Merthyr, would that be close enough?

My husband was told as a small child of such a school in Quakers Yard

My poor dad, and three of his brothers went from 11-15, for the crime of stealing empty bottles from the back of the brewery and taking them back for the money  still, they got three square meals a day, and some discipline in their lives
