Hello,
I'm trying to find any trace of Hector Mcbeth (or MacBeth, Mcbeath) born in Glasgow in 1823 approx.  he had moved down into Durham by 1861 but was obviously still in Scotland in 1851.  He was married to Janet and his son's included Alexander and Hector.

I can find only 1 Hector McBeth born in Scotland around this birth year 1823.  Worth looking into anyway..These are christening dates

In 1851 you have living in the Laurieston area of Glasgow
Hector McBeath aged 28
Janet McBeath aged 24
Alexander aged 5
James aged 3
Hector aged 1

There is another Hector McBeath in Glasgow at that time ... he is 24 and appears to be living on his own in the St. Davids area.

In 1841 you have 1 Hector McBeth aged 15 living in "Gorbals Proper" and 1 Hector McBeath aged 15 living in Hutchestown. Neither appears to be with parents.

They also had son Andrew McBeath on 11 Sep 1855 Tradeston, Glasgow
