1861 & 1871 SCARBOROUGH, YORKS. - BROADBENT
« on: Thursday 16 September 04 12:14 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find JOHN BROADBENT and his daughter MARY ANN.   John was a Lodging House Keeper at 9 Albion Road, Scarborough in 1867 when Mary Ann married Alfred Jowett (she would not be on 1871 census for Scarborough).   A witness at the marriage was Sarah Elizabeth Broadbent - mother or sister?
Mary Ann was born in Leeds about 1844.  Grateful for any help please.
Jowett & Broadbent in Leeds.
Perry, Hartshorn/e & Wilkes in Birmingham & Dudley. Walker and Dabill in Sheffield & Notts.
Farrar in Darlington & Leeds.
Kidd & Taylor in Hartlepool & Teesside

Hi Pauline,

Thanks very much for that but I don't think they are mine.   I am coming to the conclusion that they were probably in Leeds for the 1861, went to Scarborough for a few years and more than likely back to Leeds before the 1871.

Thanks for trying.

Jill
