just received this offer from 1837-valid for 7 days

You can have unlimited access* to all the official birth, marriage and death indexes for England and Wales for twelve months for a one-off payment of just £50.

shame I can't share the cost with anyone :(

I've had the same (personal) offer.

Does anyone have a view on whether its good value?

What period do the 1837online indexes cover?

If you're starting out and haven't been able to get much oral family history from relatives it's probably good value for money.

I've also had an invitation to subscribe.  It's worth reading the terms and conditions attached to the offer.  One being "Third-party look-ups are not permitted".

So if they see the offer is being over-used they could withdraw subscription  ???

So unless you have lots of personal BMD's to look at, then probably not worth it.
