 Hello
There is a possible marriage  on FREE BMD in Bedwelty district in December 1900 Quarter, of a James Ware. Ref 11a 226.
One of the possible brides is a Sarah Hughes.
The 1901 Tredegar census has a James Ware  son in law living with a Richard Hughes and family.
James wife is  Sarah and they have a 2 week old daughter  Eliz  J.

Hi lic666

Might be worth contacting The Registry Office in Tredegar (who hold the Bedwelty records)

They should be able to provide you with a copy of your GGrandfather's birth certificate, for a fee of £7, if you have not got it already,  which may show both parents names.

Also they should be able to see if those rhys mentions are a match, - and -  if you ask nicely - they should do a 5 year search for you free of charge to see if the parents were married in the area.

Do let us know how you get on ;D
