Thanks to you all. This all helps in building up a picture of my ancestors. I was very interested in the way that Vic Reeves was able to find his family home in Hull and when I get up to Hull (which having traced relatives in the area is on the cards for next year), I'll try and visit some of the places they used to live. It seems they all congregated in the same general area and I've got a very good picture of them all now. If it wasn't for a Joshua Carver who moved to Hull from Nottingham at about the time my relatives moved there from Norfolk, life would be very straightforward, but this chap has confused the issue by leaving descendants around Sculcoates as well. Most inconsiderate !

If you are interested in Sculcoates, have you tried www.eyfhs.org.uk  click on links and then the link for Sheila Dixon, loads of info on Sculcoates and the area it covered.
