I hope someone can help with this.  George Kay Gardner was adopted in October 1943.  His adoptive parents were George Evans Houston who lived at 115 Rottenrow, Glasgow.  The adoption was carried out legally but I dont have any trace of his real families names.  The adoption was registered through the Sheriffs court of Lankashire on 25th December 1943.

Does anyone know how we can go about finding out who his real parents were.

Have you tried obtaining a copy of his original birth certificate ?

Unfortunately it is not available online but only through the GROS in Edinburgh or the Registrars office of the area he was born in.
