Relief records??
« on: Saturday 21 January 06 07:50 GMT (UK) »
In the space for occupation on the 1891 census it says "Receiving Relief" for one of my ancestors.  Does anyone know if there are any records of this that I can view, if so where would they be.

Thanks for the help :)
Dodd (Carden, Cheshire), Hodkinson (Chorley near Wrenbury, Cheshire), Reeves (Tilstock, Shropshire), Wynne (Stretton, Cheshire)

Hi

Not sure which area you are interested in, but if you go to the search page of Cheshire RO Archives and type relief in the top box then search it will bring up all the records that contain the subject of Parish Relief.

good luck
