Bowes
« on: Saturday 21 January 06 15:57 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

When I was researching family history and looking around grave-yards in Bowes last year I was unable to find any mention of my Richardson ancestors.

My father always said his grandfather Michael Richardson & Granmother Mary were buried in the church graveyard but we looked to no avail.

Can any one tell me how I can find out about this please?

Hello Judy

Bowes is covered by Cleveland Family History Society,

http://www.clevelandfhs.org.uk/

have a browse round this site.
Also find the Archives that cover Bowes they will most probably have a list of people buried in the graveyard.
The NBI rev2 gives 11 Richardsons buried in St Giles Bowes between 1716 and 1826.
Hope this helps in your quest.

Regards Oly
