James Macaulay/McAulay born 1842 father Robert.
In 1892 he married Mary Champkin in Sunderland England.
But he was a widow.
So he was married before.

There is only one James in 1851 index Glasgow.
I'm not sure if he's Robert's son as he is listed above Robert.
You would need to check out actual census for details of relationships and birthplaces.

Family were living in St Johns area of Glasgow

Bernard McCAULLY age 40
Jean age 40
James age 10
Robert age 35
Margaret age 27
Mary Jane age 4
Margaret age 2
