Hi Kimberly,

just looked up that link: http://www.theshipslist.com/index.html

and entered KAPUNDA in the search engine.

3 finds which all point to the same page:

http://www.theshipslist.com/ships/passengerlists/kapunda.html
includes accounts from the Illustrated London News, and the Times, with passenger and crew lists

Horrible, reading about it, especially when you recall that they were on their way to "a better life"  :(

Hi Kimberley

found these 5 on the 1851 Liverpool census, no ages are given but I'm wondering if David and Rachel Holliday are the parents and the other 3 are the aunts and Uncle that came into view on the '71 and '81 census?

Group number 118207 in Liverpool 1851 Census index.
5 results found.

It would at least make it understandable as to why Frances Rachel would have Rachel as a middle name.

which if it is tehm it would take you to loking in Scotland for them both.
