What Happened To Arthur WATTS????
« on: Wednesday 25 January 06 21:30 GMT (UK) »
Arthur Watts born in Paignton Devon in 1769, married Elizabeth Bond and had two daughters, Elizabeth and Mary in 1790's. How can I find out what happened to him? I need to know if he moved to Suffolk, or if he stayed in Devon. Can anybody help please???

Hello Lynn,

I know very little about genealogy in Devon although I have Peake ancestors in the County. I also have a brick wall consisting of both maternal (De Banke) and paternal ancestors in Topsham (Peake).  8) I hope these two sites prove useful to you http://www.devonfhs.org.uk and http://groups.msn.com/debbiandfriends/devonhelp.msnw

Best Wishes,

Christopher

Firstly, can you state which parish the family were living in - or which parish the daughters were born in. Then you might be able to ask the OPC for that parish (if there is one) to help. Most OPCs have access to some early records.

OOPS I missed the Paignton. That parish doesnt have an OPC. But the Genuki page might help.
