Death in the Poorhouse ?
« on: Friday 27 January 06 10:53 GMT (UK) »
I've been unable to find a death cert. on scotlands people. The man in question, died in Dalziel Poorhouse in 1915. Were they not issued for poorhouse deaths ?

Yes he should be there. How do you where/when he died?
If it was someone from the Poorhouse(was it still called that in 1915?) reporting the death thye may have reported the wrong info.Try putting in first two letters of surname with wildcards for that parish & date & age & see what comes up.If not too many worth one credit to check out the possibilies.

Thanks for your help. If I ever manage to get as far as accessing the records on scotlands people today, I'll try your suggestion.
