1841 Thixendale - Robert Pearson
« on: Friday 27 January 06 21:38 GMT (UK) »
Hi all

My GGGGrandfather was Robert Pearson born about 1830 in Thixendale.  In the 1851 census he is a Farmer's Labourer at Old Byland.

I have the 1841 Yorkshire census on disc but Thixendale pages are almost unreadable.

Please can someone have a look to see if they can find him? (Only about 5 pages).  I don't know the names of his parents or whether he had any siblings.  He would have been about 11.
HO107/1212/11

Many many thanks.

Karen :)

Hello Karen

The only Pearson I could find at Thixendale was Saml Pearson 15 M S living in Farmer Charles Matthews (age 60) house it is on page 6a. Six rows down the page among other male servants.

Samuel is shortened to Sam with a raised l at the end.
My copy is fairly reasonable to read.

Regards Oly
