Martyn George Edwards

My grandfather Martyn George Edwards was born in Wales in 1898, as 21 on his marriage certificate in Ebbw Vale in 1919 and aged 43 on his death cert in 1941. 

I am unable to find him on the 1901 census and unable to trace a birth registration.  I have searched from 1897 to 1899 on 1831 and GRO office have also confirmed, no trace.  His father William Edwards, was was deceased on his marriage certificate in 1919.  I am trying to find his mother's name and if he had brothers or sisters.
