Elizabeth Ager or Agers
« on: Sunday 29 January 06 23:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi there
I am trying to trace an irishwoman called Elizabeth Ager born around 1820 (shame I dont know whereabouts in Ireland - possibly Cork though)
She married a man called Robert Gold McLeod in 1842 in Salford district of Manchester and they ended up living in Liverpool.
I know this isnt a lot to go on but if anyone has any ideas how to look for her I would be greatful.

Hi Anna

I wonder if this could possibly be them?  Elizabeth's age is right.  Was James in the army?  They are living in 1851 at Winchester Barracks - 13th Regiment of Infantry.

If it is then she was born in Galway.

Thanks but that isnt them

His father was in the Blackwatch and he is orignally from Scotland but Robert Gold was a furrier or a hat maker (he did aparently go as mad as a hatter and died in a workhouse in Northumberland).
