Would anyone be able to trace my gggrandmother's origins in Edinburgh please?

Her name appears as Marian Farquharson on the certificate of her marriage with my gggrandfather, James Walker, in East London in 1844.  Her father is given as Stewart Farquharson, Baker.

Through the London censuses although her name varies from Mary Ann to Mary A to Maryon to Marian her birthplace is always Edinburgh and her year of birth is close to 1821.

According to the IGI there was a marriage in Edinburgh in 1818 between a Stewart Farquharson and a Charlotte Mitchell but I have not been able to discover a birth record for a daughter named Marian.

If anyone could shed any further light I would be delighted to know more about Marian and her family and why she should have made the long and permanent trip down south!
